RYU Fall Launch & Mental Health Awareness Day Campaign!!

RYU dropped some new stuff for fall and I've been loving it so I thought I'd share! Their brand is all about respecting yourself, others, and the universe! As I've mentioned before on my blog, Respect Your Universe is an urban athletic apparel company created and based in Vancouver! I've been an RYU Campus Connector for almost a year and it has definitely made me feel like I'm a part of something bigger! Go check out RYU at their four locations in the Vancouver area (Robson, West fourth, West Van, and Metrotown) or on their website @ www.ryu.com to get some gear and represent Respect Your Universe with me! The staff and everyone involved in RYU are all super motivating and supportive people and I'm super lucky to be involved with such a cool company!

RYU has a mental health awareness campaign for the month of November. "We're all fighting battles others know nothing about. Today is World Mental Health Day - If you're struggling with he pressures of…

Brunch @ Northside Espresso

Today I had the best brunch (as usual) at Northside Espresso! Northside is a hidden spot in Kingston that I tend to go to a lot! It has great coffee and even better breakfast food (it's also insanely cute!). Today I chose to get the Eggs Benny with a drink called "The Melbourne" which is essentially a scoop of ice cream with espresso shots pour over top and I definitely had no regrets! This place is small and the kitchen is tiny but they somehow produce the best food :) If you're ever in Kingston, Northside Espresso is a MUST!

FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR CITY

Since moving across the country to university, I've had time to reflect on my home city! It took being a six hour plane (and five provinces away) to really realize how lucky I am that Vancouver, B.C is home to me! This post will be all about the places/reasons I love in/about Vancouver!

1. The Sea Wall/Stanley Park!
If you are from or have ever been to Vancouver you should be familiar with this! For me, there is no better way to relax than a run on the sea wall or a day at Stanley park! The sea wall spans fourteen kilometres around downtown Vancouver and Stanley park is on the back end of the sea wall! There's both bike and walk paths, outdoor pools, water parks, restaurants with beautiful views, and a lot of smiley faces :)

2. The MOST amazing coffee shops!
To name a few: Paralel 49th, Platform 7, The art gallery cafe, Bel Cafe, Pallet Coffee Roaster! I am always able to be productive working at these Coffee Shops/Cafe's.

3. Downtown Vancouver/Gastown!
Two of the most bea…

Rumble Apparel - A Review

Rumble Apparel is a Canadian based business (which I always like to support because nowadays almost everything is overseas) that designs closet essentials for everyday kind of wear! They combine fashion with social responsibility. The cool thing is as a brand they value diversity, whether that be race, body shape, etc. The brand focusses on small batches and fair labour which is so important. Rumble Apparel is about girls supporting girls! The sweater featured is the "Get Love" sweater (which is currently on sale!!) and its SO comfy.
Check it out here: www.rumbleapparel.com I decided to get the sweater a bit bigger so I could wear it with bike shorts and I'm really happy with the fit of it.

How I Cleared My Skin In Two Weeks!!

I've never really struggles with really bad skin however recently it has been oddly bumpy and very frequently I get random pop ups of acne. I decided just a couple weeks ago to cut my skin care routine down to the most simple it has ever been and use one mask twice a week and other than that, products from just one company.

1. Graydon Skincare: I got four products from Graydon Skincare and my favourite so far has been the mineral face spray and the cleanser. These products are my new holy grail and I will absolutely be replacing them when they run out. Graydon Skincare is my new everyday skin care routine because they have a wide range of products that work well together too. I love the fact that it's all natural and plant powered, it truly makes a difference when you don't use harsh chemicals on your skin all the time. You can check them out at: (https://graydonskincare.ca).

2. Alya Pink Clay Mask

This mask is by far the best mask I have used. It is so refreshing and it m…

Five Things I Wish I Knew Going Into First Year University!!

As summer comes to an end, it's time for all the students to prepare for the next year of studies! I'm going into my second year and really looking forward to it! I've created a list of five things I wish I knew before going into first year university. This list is purely created based on experience. Feel free to share with anyone you know heading off to post secondary education as it may not only apply to first years! I live in Vancouver and go to school in Ontario so this list may be a little biased for the people who are leaving home as that is my experience! Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy and I hope this helps you in some way!

1. FACETIME is a life changer and when you're away from your family and friends it can at times be the only thing that gets you through the inevitable home sick days so USE it.
2. Organize yourself BEFORE school starts. This could include an agenda, making sure your room is organized, creating a workout schedule, etc.
3. Even though university…

Why I Started Blogging!!

This weeks post is all about why I started blogging! It seems crazy to think about, but its almost been eight months since I started Sunday Funday! Sunday Funday for me has been an incredible creative outlet and starting a blog was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I've always been the type of person that is incredibly passionate about something, growing up it was competitive soccer and swimming. When I moved out east to continue my studies I started only playing soccer for fun - a HUGE adjustment. I found myself missing something. This is when one night I decided to just go for it and start a blog! I've loved blogging ever since and it has definitely become my passion.

Blogging has allowed me to learn more about myself and the things I'm interested in. I honestly can't see myself ever stopping because it has become such a great thing in my life.
