About Me!!

Hey guys, my name is Danika & welcome to my blog. I'm twenty years old and based in Vancouver Canada (however I love travelling)! My blog is called "Sunday Funday". You may have already assumed based on the name of my blog, but if not, I post a new blog post every Sunday! This blog will be mostly a lifestyle blog filled with places I travel, beauty tips/hacks, products I'm loving (or hating), and fashion. I hope you enjoy the content and if you have any suggestions on content you'd like to see feel free to let me know!!

Balancing Work / School / Blogging / Fitness!!

Hey everyone,

Today I'm talking about a subject that I've been struggling with and I'm sure a lot of people can relate too. As a full time student with a part time job, I struggle balancing the necessities of my life with my passions which are blogging and fitness. Blogging fulfills me like nothing else and fitness allows both my physical and mental health to stay in check (and frankly, I couldn't live without it). This all becomes A LOT to handle and manage at the same time. Additionally, I am twenty years old and love hanging out with my family and friends as well as occasionally going out! If I'm being honest, I am so far from mastering the task of balance, but I'm working on it! I've come a long way especially in the last year. I threw up a couple tricks that have helped me, but I'd like to hear your tips too! Leave a comment below.
1. Get a planner!! This helps to keep me on track and eliminates the risk of forgetting an assignment or important mee…

Suki’s Salon / L’Oréal Hair / Bicom PR!!

Last week Bicom PR reached out to me and gave me the awesome opportunity to have my hair refreshed with a fresh colour and hair cut! They used a new product line which is called Botanea (ultimately they use components of henna to create a more natural hair colour)! The two stylists Miguel and Gwen from Suki’s Salon on South Granville treated me great! After the whole experience I am very happy with the result of how my hair looks with both the new colour and the cut as well.

John Casablanca Institute!!

John Casablanca Institute: This week I got the chance to check out JCI which is Canada's top fashion, hair, and makeup school! The building is super cute and the employees who I've gotten the chance to interact with have been very nice. They have six different programs: Fashion Business, Fashion Design, Makeup Artistry, Fashion + Beauty Makeup, Body Spa Esthetics, and Hair Art Design. The amount of programs that JCI has to offer attracts a lot of people making the school a much more broad learning centre than its competitors.
Location: JCI is located a block down Water street from the waterfront station, in the very trendy district of Gastown. The location is surrounded by Cafes, designers and photographers, this artsy hub is accessible and convenient.

Salon:
JCI also has a salon which allows the students to practice their work on paying customers. The rates are extremely discounted rate.

My two go to's in Vancouver: Places you MUST try!!

1. Dalina Cafe This place has two locations and they're both ADORABLE. Not to mention, they also have great coffee and the lighting is super prime because the walls are all white! I've attended this Cafe twice now and both times I had a great time. The staff are super friendly and they carry so many different food options too. Check them out in Chinatown or on Oak and Broadway (Vancouver).
2. Body Energy Club I've 100% talked about Body Energy Club at least a few times on my blog, it is still my favourite. I go here many times a week because I can not get enough of it. The quality of the smoothies and Acai Bowls is like nowhere else I've tried. If you haven't gone in yet, you HAVE to. My favourites are the Razzbutter Smoothie, the Collagen Juice, and the Superfood Acai Bowl!

Three Things That Help Me Stay Chill During Exams!!

I know a lot of my blog audience is between the ages of 18-24 which means most of you are in university doing exams right now! Exam time can be super stressful and I have a few things that really help me get through the exam grind so I thought I'd share.

1. HathaSpace Diffuser /Essential Oils: Essential oils are SO good for you! I use a HathaSpace diffuser and I keep it on when I sleep even. The oils are super healthy for your body and can reduce stress and anxiety. I've linked the website I got mine from here: hathaspace.com
2. 100 Years Of Love Candles: This kind of goes along with the Diffuser except for a different purpose. I don't know about you guys but since exams are so stressful I definitely stay up through the night most nights studying. I hate the florescent lights so I light a bunch of candles and turn on little lights! My favourite candle company is actually Canadian which I LOVE. The company is called 100 Years of Love and their candles are not only really cute…

Cooking With Fuud.ca!!

This weeks post is something I'm really excited about. I've partnered with Fuud.ca to show you how easy it is to cook a balanced and healthy meal without the hassle of grocery shopping and meal preparing. It is a Vancouver based company that makes it really easy to be healthy without spending two hours cooking each meal.
Fuud.ca prepares meals in boxes pictured above and drops it off right to your door on the day that you select when you select which meals you want for the week. They text you when they're fifteen minutes away to let you know they're coming, however you do not have to be home.
First I made the Ricotta Ravioli which I selected from the vegetarian meal list and it was really easy to make and also tasted great.

The second dish I made is called Spicy Sesame Zoodles with Crispy Tofu. It had a lot of flavour and was quite easy to make. I would completely recommend this company. Not only is it affordable but when the food arrives it is packaged great which ma…
