The Best Coffee Shops To Study At!!

Below I have created a list of coffee shops that are awesome locations to study at!!

Common Grounds: (On Campus @ Queen's) a great place to study that is close to everything on Campus! It's a bit loud but if you use headphones you should be okay!NorthSide Espresso: (Off Campus) This place is SO cute!! Great food and drinks as well as an awesome study location because it's pretty quiet. Balzac's: A lot of cities around Canada have a Balzac's coffee shop.  The ambiance is perfect for studying and the drinks are really great. (Such a cute coffee shop too)!!Starbucks: A great option as well!! This option just depends on what your local Starbucks is like. Some can be really loud and busy (not ideal for studying) and some can be really quiet and nice!!

Five Ways to Stay Fit/Healthy at University!!

I've created a list of five ways to stay fit/healthy at university!!

Drink water! Sometimes if you're super dehydrated you over eat when really your body just needs more water!Go to your university gym 3-5 times a week (whatever is manageable for you)! Make sure to pick a set amount of times that you are going to go and stick to it for the whole year!!Trust me, I know cafeteria food can be brutal. Try to find the fruit, vegetables, eggs, soup, and any other things that are more healthy than most of the things that are filled with dairy and carbs!Pick a detox tea to drink that works for you and do it!! There is a lot of controversy around this but if you do the research and pick one that works for you it can be really beneficial. I drink the Your Tea Tiny Tea and it has really made me less bloated and more energetic. You can buy it at: (https://canada.yourtea.com/products/28dayteatox)Get as much sleep as you possibly can!!

How To Get Through Exams 2018:

I've created a list of things to help students get through exams this spring.

Forty minutes on, twenty minutes off. Study for forty, take a break for twenty. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Until you're done studying. This allows your brain and body to take a break.Change your study location. Maybe you usually study in your room, try going to a coffee shop or the library for a change of scenery.Make sure you EAT. Your brain is working hard and needs fuel.Study Strategically. Highlight the important things and then only focus on the highlighted notes.Make sure you're not only studying the easy things you know. The likelihood is that the exam will be composed of the more challenging and harder content. When it comes to exam time, make sure you're prepared with all the equipment you need such as pencils, pens, rulers, and erasers before test time so that when its time to write the exam you're only focussing on the exam itself.

My Trip To Portugal!!

Last summer I was lucky enough to travel to Portugal for three weeks in August. In this post I'll detail the awesome locations that I loved, as well as tourist attractions you should make sure to check out! I went to Lisbon as well as the Algarve (Albufeira).

Lisbon:
Lisbon is one of the greatest cities in the world with a mix of old culture as well as some contemporary art. GREAT food! While my family and I were in Lisbon we rented a beautiful three story Airbnb and this was the amazing view from the patio during sunset.

Albufeira:
Albufeira is on the Algarve coast and is home to many of the worlds top one hundred beaches. While staying in Albufeira we rented a suite at a resort with eight beautiful pools and some amazing food. Albufeira is a very touristy place in Portugal. We went on a beautiful barbecue cruise and enjoyed food like the locals do. The picture to the right was taken from the cruise.
