What To Do While in Los Angeles!!

Travelling to LA soon? I've created a list of ten MUST go places while in LA whether it be restaurants, café's, beaches, shopping locations, YOU name it, I've got it!!

  1. Alfred's Coffee: The first café to create the slogan "But First, Coffee". This cute coffee shop has amazing coffee, tea, latté's, cappuccino's, not to mentions some amazing food too! Love it!!
  2. Melrose Avenue: Home to the iconic pink wall (amazing insta opportunity), the butterfly wall (Again, insta opportunity), the famous store "Sorella Boutique", and many other amazing stores and restaurants.
  3. Melrose Trading Post: A MUST go to. The Melrose trading post is located on Melrose Avenue and is home to the best ever vintage/thrift pop up locations ever. You can find brands such as Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Vintage Nike, etc.
  4. Lemonade: This California marketplace offers a range of healthy food as well as multiple flavours of amazing lemonade. Also, it's very affordable. They just came out with a new favourite called the "Mango Chicken Bowl". The bowl is a roasted mango chicken with sautéed kale and seasonal vegetables served over warm seasoned rice. The bowl is a huge hit.
  5. Beverly Hills / The Grove: The famous shopping centre in LA. If you're lucky you might even see some famous people!!
  6. Sprinkles Cupcakes: First of all, Sprinkles Cupcakes has a Cupcake ATM (SO CUTE). There are so many different flavours and they're all really great!! Red Velvet is my personal favourite!
  7. Santa Monica Boardwalk: Here you will find a really nice view and an even nicer beach. The boardwalk has a lot of awesome activities and food too.
  8. 3rd Street Promenade: This is the shopping centre near Santa Monica beach.
  9. CATCH LA: This is a luxury restaurant with the BEST dessert. A bit on the pricey side but truly an "experience" dinner.
  10. Urth Cafe: Urth is an absolute go to food place. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack or whatever it might be Urth has everything anyone could want.

How I Keep My Skin Clear!!

Below I've made a list of products and tips of how I keep my skin clear!!

1. The obvious thing to do is to wash your face in the morning and the night. I use the Cetaphil Cleanser and it works really great for me at least. There are a lot of great cleansers so I would suggest trying out what works best for you.

2. Also, make sure to moisturize after washing your face in the morning and moisturize your face after washing in the night time too. I use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer and it is the best one that I've ever used. Really keeps my skin soft and hydrated too.

3. There are a few products from the brand Essance Skincare (essanceskincare.com) that have really improved my skin recently. Personally my favourites are the Dragon Blood Toner, the Dragon Blood Serum, and their 3-1 antioxidant eye cream. The eye cream really brightens the under eye area and is really great.

4. DRINK WATER. The most important tip. If you drink water it helps detoxify your skin and …

Five Things I Wish I Knew Going Into First Year University!!

As summer comes to an end, it's time for all the students to prepare for the next year of studies! I'm going into my second year and really looking forward to it! I've created a list of five things I wish I knew before going into first year university. This list is purely created based on experience. Feel free to share with anyone you know heading off to post secondary education as it may not only apply to first years! I live in Vancouver and go to school in Ontario so this list may be a little biased for the people who are leaving home as that is my experience! Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy and I hope this helps you in some way!

1. FACETIME is a life changer and when you're away from your family and friends it can at times be the only thing that gets you through the inevitable home sick days so USE it.
2. Organize yourself BEFORE school starts. This could include an agenda, making sure your room is organized, creating a workout schedule, etc.
3. Even though university…
